- I don't think that I experience any intended loss when reading CDDA
- with my AppleCD300. But the data _does_ contain errors. Errors
- that you wouldn't notice in an audio player because the errors were
- subdued. The number of errors directly correlates with the number
- of dust particles on the CD :)

- Another problem with most drives is that they do not start at the
- exact position you specify. I can imagine that the Plextor doesn't
- have this problem but I didn't verify.
